Peter Broekman Departs as Manager of Horticulture at Hagelunie

During his tenure at Achmea, Broekman's primary focus was on expanding and professionalizing the company's international greenhouse portfolio, which has helped to establish Hagelunie as a significant player in the global market. "I have always performed this job with great pleasure, energy, and enthusiasm and am proud of this until this day!" Broekman said. In 2020, he transferred to the role of Manager Greenhouse Horticulture and assumed responsibility for Achmea’s national greenhouse operations.

“It's time for a change”
​He shall resign as of the 1st of July, 2023 Broekman's leadership has yielded impressive results for Achmea’s greenhouse horticulture division over the last decade. However, he has decided that it is time for him to move on to new challenges. "I am looking forward to challenges where I can use my entrepreneurship and management skills with excitement and energy," he remarked. Broekman will be working after the 1st of July this year on a project-by-project basis for various assignments and projects at Achmea, as well as seeking out fresh opportunities beyond Achmea. He also plans to personally bid farewell to his important relationships, brokers/intermediaries, and primary clients in the Netherlands and other countries, with whom he has worked closely over the years.
