Although focusing on the French market, SIVAL also welcomed growers from Spain, Italy, Northern Africa, and even overseas: Mexico and the US. Some combine their visit with the IPM, which takes place next week, or with a visit to other suppliers, growers. Over 700 exhibitors were present at SIVAL, as the show unites agriculture, horticulture and vinoculture.
Hot topics in the greenhouse industry are energy savings, resistant varieties, and labor-solving solutions. Among the highlights of our presence at the exhibition were discussions on critical topics such as high gas prices and building costs. Growers are actively considered alternative solutions, including Combined Heat and Power (CHP) and inevitable heating, signaling a commitment to addressing the evolving needs of the horticultural community.
Despite encountering challenges, our booth team was glad to receive positive feedback, particularly from growers in Brittany. This warm reception also extended to growers in Brest, a sentiment magnified by our recent support to the region's growers in the aftermath of storm Ciaran.
Thank you everyone who visited our stand, and we hope to meet you again next year. The Sival returns on January 14, 2025!
